1x 3-hour LIVE, Online course (via Zoom) with a professional trainer and a maximum group size of 16 people.

Overview

From time to time all local government staff will face important conversations which they envisage will be difficult and in which they feel ill equipped to handle. These conversations may be on a personal level, like tackling instances of unacceptable behaviour with a colleague. Alternatively, the conversation may involve suggesting an alternative proposal to a manager who has already decided on an outcome.

When the stakes are high, and people are emotional, it’s important that your staff have the skills, knowhow, and courage to have these difficult conversations in a safe way that maintains/ builds strong relationships and produces a positive outcome for your council.

This three hour live online course (with a professional course leader) will increase awareness of the need to have challenging conversations and provide tools and develop skills to have adult conversations with others, both face to face and remotely.
